See The Seven Falls: The Seven Falls is accessible via a 0.8 miles nature trail starting at the park’s entrance gate. The trail, winding through towering red canyon walls, is very scenic and is an easy walk along a paved road. The park also provides tram services to people needing physical assistance to get to the waterfalls.
The Seven Falls is a series of seven cascading waterfalls, and every fall has a name – Bridal Veil, Feather, Hill, Hull, Ramona, Shorty, and Weimer.
Upon reaching the waterfalls, you can enjoy the views from the bottom, but additionally, there are two other great ways to experience the Seven Falls –
- Eagle’s Nest Viewing Platform: Take an elevator up the canyon to Eagle’s Nest viewing platform located across from the Seven Falls but at a height almost parallel to the top of the waterfalls offering some great views of the Seven Falls, and is the most convenient way to see the Seven Falls.
- Seven Falls Staircase: There’s a staircase along the waterfalls leading to the top of the Seven Falls. The 224 steps staircase is a moderate hike, but climbing along the waterfalls and the mist is a fun way to see the Seven Falls up close!
Hiking In Broadmoor Seven Falls: There’re two hiking trails in Broadmoor Seven Falls, with trailheads located at the top of the Seven Falls, accessible via the 224 steps staircase.
- Midnight Falls: A short 0.7 miles roundtrip easy hike takes about 30 minutes, starting at the top of the Seven Falls, leads to Midnight Falls, another neat waterfall atop the canyon.
- Inspiration Point: Branching from the Midnight Falls trail, the Inspiration Point trail is a 1.5 miles roundtrip hike and takes about one hour. The trail leads to the burial site of the famous writer Helen Hunt Jackson. One of Seven Falls waterfall is also named after one of Helen Hunt Jackson’s bestsellers – Ramona. Inspiration point also offers excellent views of the nearby valley and the Colorado Springs city!
Soaring Zip Line: There are two different courses with ten zip lines soaring the grounds above the canyon of Broadmoor Seven Falls. On the guided zip line adventure in Broadmoor Seven Falls, you could either cruise over the valley, pine trees, and the Midnight Falls on the Woods Course or cruise down the steep canyons and rock formations on the Fins Course.
