These cone-shaped rock structures, created by volcanic explosions, are pristine and unique. There are a couple of hiking trails: (1) The Cave Loop Trail is 1.2 miles long, rated easy. (2) The Slot Canyon Trail is a 1.5-mile, one-way trek into a narrow, “slot” canyon, that is moderately strenuous.

Closed: The Friday before Easter, Easter Sunday, the Monday after Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day and on some other days for routine maintenance work. I highly recommend calling ahead.
