The Ultimate Guide To Tahquamenon Falls State Park
The Tahquamenon Falls State Park is a 50,000-acre state park in Michigan. The centerpiece of the park is the Tahquamenon River and its two waterfalls: Upper and Lower fall.
Address: 41382 West M-123, Paradise, MI 49768
Upper & Lower Falls
Upper Falls: The Upper Falls is one the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi and is about 200 feet wide and has a 50 ft drop. There’s a paved pathway, 0.4 miles, leads from the parking lot at the Upper Falls, through an old-growth forest to the observation platforms at the crest of the Falls.
Lower Falls: Several small cascading waterfalls that can be viewed from the river bank or the island. You can rent a rowboat from the park concession store and row yourself to the island. It’s a lot of fun!
