Point State Park
Point State Park is aΒ Historic Landmark, located in the heart of Pittsburgh, commemorates and preserves the historical heritage of the area during the French-Indian War (1754 – 1763). It’s here where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet to form the Ohio River. Here you will find one of the country’s tallest fountains, symbolizing the birth of the Ohio River.

The Duquesne Incline

A century-old cable car that opened in 1877, this iconic incline railway offers a one-of-a-kind ride to the upper station.Β The incline’sΒ upperΒ station features an observation deck, offering someΒ breathtaking views of the cityΒ and a history museum. Β There is a viewing area to see the incline’s machinery in operation, a museum of Pittsburgh history, and a gift shop.

Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium

The Pittsburgh Zoo is aΒ zoo and aquarium combination, featuring several animals, birds, reptiles, and fishes from all over the globe. The zoo is very well-organized into sections, including African Savana, Tropical Forest, The Islands, Forest Passage, PPG Aquarium, and much more.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

It’s a botanical garden located in Pittsburgh and a historical landmark. TheΒ garden was founded in 1893 by the steel and real-estate giant Henry Phipps as a gift to the City of Pittsburgh. It houses several gardens, different species of flora and fauna, artworks, and several conservatories.

Gateway Clipper Riverboat

The Gateway Clipper Fleet, located in Pittsburgh, offers several river cruises providing an opportunity to see the City of Bridges from a different angle. The fleet cruises three rivers, passes under several bridges, offers some great views of the Point State Park’s fountain, and Pittsburgh’s skyline. There are several options to select from, including classic sightseeing cruises, dinner cruises, holiday cruises, and more.
