The Ultimate Guide To Acadian Boat Tours

See and explore the shores and the coastal scenery of Acadia National Park from a boat. The tours depart from the Bar Harbor, featuring some spectacular coastal views, seals, puffins, various other seabirds, views of timeless mansions, and Egg Rock lighthouse. There are several other tour companies, all departing from Bar Harbor, I recommend the Acadian Boat Tours purely based on my experience and service that we received.Β

Tour Options And What to Expect
There are several tours offered by Acadian Boat Tours, including Sightseeing & Nature Cruise, which I recommend, Sunset Cruise, Puffins, Lighthouses, & Seabirds Cruise, VIP Somes Sound Fjord & Harbors Tour, Fishing Trips and July 4th Fireworks Cruise.
Sightseeing & Nature Cruise

I recommend this tour, which is a fully narrated, two-hour cruise of the Frenchman Bay, featuring breathtaking scenery of coastal Maine, Acadia National Park, the islands of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor. There are two departures, 10 AM and the 4 PM, if you’re not staying close to the park, I suggest you do the 4 PM tour and highly recommend making reservations in advance. Onboard there’s a snack bar, restrooms, and a heated cabin but would recommend carrying warm clothes; it gets chilly out in the ocean. The highlight of our tour was the pristine view of the Egg Rock lighthouse and the sunbathing sea lions.
